Screen Printing (Silk Screening)

Screen printing (also commonly referred to as silk screening) is one of the most common methods of printing images in apparel. Our unique screen printing process and application allows for vibrant, true-to-life color and clear, consistent images on each product from t-shirts to athletic wear.*

Customwearmfg. offers many different application techniques for screen printing, depending the specific requirements of each project. This method of image imprinting is typically more affordable than embroidery services. You can choose from a variety of colors, applications, and silk screening methods, depending on the type of apparel, material choice and desired look. In addition, we are proud to offer a choice of up to 12 different colors per image. Each of our screen printing techniques can be used alone or they can be combined to create your own customized look:

  • Regular Screen Printing – regular spot color printing, using plastisol inks.
  • Waterbased ink – ink that gives softer feel and is more environmentally friendy. It’s less durable though.
  • Foil – Luscan Group offers standard and inline foil applications in a variety of colors and looks.
  • Glow in the Dark Ink – This method utilizes a special ink that glows after being charged in ultraviolet light. Our ink can be used alone for an image that only appears in the dark, or can be applied over an existing ink to provide special detail.
  • Glitter – Glitter ink is among our most popular screen printing methods. We have a variety of glitters in a wide range of colors, finishes, and flake sizes.
  • Puff Ink– We offer a special ink that gives images more of a raised, three dimensional appearance with rounded edges.
  • Suede Ink – This ink also Provides a three dimensional look with a supple, suede-like finish.
  • High Density Inks – Offers a more dramatic three dimensional appearance in a variety of heights.
  • Flocking – This silk screening method gives images the feel of crushed velvet.
  • Reflective Ink – Embedded with glass beads, this ink gives images a reflective appearance.  Colored reflective ink can be used alone or added as a clear overlay over the image.
  • Gel Inks – Providing a wet appearance, gel inks can be used as a stand-alone color tint or a clear top coat.

EMBROIDERY

Standard Flat Embroidery

Embroidery is on of the most common decorating techniques on jackets, caps, hats, golf shirts and other special materials that cannot be screen printed.

DTG & SPOT COLOR PROCESS PRINTING

At Customwearmfg., we offer two methods of imprinting full color images on textiles: digital imprinting and spot color process.

DTG Full color Garment Printing

Digital imprinting is the process of actually printing the image onto the apparel. With little set-up required, this method includes no setup charges and can be more affordable for low-quantity projects. Appearance is high quality and very similar to spot color process imprints. However, digital imprinting on garments is not as long lasting.

Spot Color Proccess

The spot color process at Customwearmfg. is basically screen printing. The full color image is usually separated in ten to fourteen PMS colors that are applied individually. With greater setup required for image imprinting, the spot color process does incur artwork & setup charges. These charges become more affordable in higher quantities.
